The General Plan identifies the community’s priorities and their vision for the future of their city. This important document is a “blueprint” for
growth and development in the City of Garden Grove, including
long-range goals and policies addressing important topics from
the natural environment to public health and safety to economic
development. The process is anticipated to be completed within
approximately 18 months.
California requires each city and county to adopt a general
plan to guide the growth and development of the community, usually
over a 20-year horizon. Garden Grove's last comprehensive
update to the General Plan took place in 1995.
